Cincinnati-based RMNB reader, Joshua R., traveled to Washington DC this weekend to see the Caps’ two games at Verizon Center. And he brought along a wonderful sign. Cutting out three of RMNB’s signature beagle.jpg’s, Joshua created a scene of hockey-playing beagles with headline text that read Believe in Beagle.
Joshua Believed in Beagle, and Human Jay Beagle must have felt that love. 6:04 into the first period, Beags scored, giving the Caps a 1-0 lead.

After John Carlson successfully brought the puck into the zone, Tom Wilson crushed some dudes to open some space up for his fellow fourth-line mates Daniel Winnik and Beagle.
Winnik found Beagle. Beagle skated towards the slot and beat Corey Crawford five hole.

The goal was Beagle’s seventh of the season and his fifth in eight career games against the Blackhawks.

At the bench, Wilson had a joke for Beags, which I really wish I could have heard.

But let’s not forget the person who really made this goal happen: Joshua R.
