TJ Oshie checks Mike Hoffman into the Capitals bench

Sunday night, TJ Oshie made Mike Hoffman an honorary Capital after knocking the Senators forward into the Caps bench.

Late into the third period, Hoffman dumped the puck into the offensive zone. Instead of allowing Hoffman to forecheck, Oshie finished his check, sending the left wing up and over the boards. I love the extra push he gave him.

And there he goes.

Hoffman remained on the floor of the Caps bench for six seconds before getting up and jumping back onto the ice.

Capitals Assistant Coach Todd Reirden giggled once he realized that his team had gained a new player.
