What the–. The Caps wildly outplayed the Islanders for most of the night, but they couldn’t beat Jaroslav Halak. With three quick goals in the third period (one from ol’ stone hands, Jason Chimera) the Isles felled the Caps, who are probably dumbstruck right now.
An unfortunate debut for Jakub Vrana, who played well but shall never forget what it looked like when Justin Williams‘ spirit was broken. Lots to think about — or drink about — tonight.
