It should have been a win, and Braden Holtby knows it. But with Columbus goals in the first and last minutes of the third period, the Washington Capitals blew it.
With 42 seconds left in regulation, Holtby left the net to give the Caps an extra attacker. On the bench during a late timeout, Holtby was cranky as hell.

- Tom Wilson got hooked late, but there was no call
- The Caps had just 4 shots in the second period and 7 in the third
