The Washington Capitals made it through the first month and a half of the season without injury. And then Friday night happened. Four players went down the tunnel with injuries in a horrifying first period. TJ Oshie, Lars Eller, and Andre Burakovsky did not return to the game. Tom Wilson was the only player to make it back.
On Saturday, the Capitals announced that Oshie would be out week-to-week while Lars Eller will be out day-to-day with upper body injuries.
#Caps injury update: Lars Eller (upper body) is listed as day-to-day and TJ Oshie (upper body) is listed as week-to-week.

Oshie left the game only after three shifts. The likely shoulder injury happened while he delivered a huge bodycheck in neutral ice to Riley Sheahan.
Meanwhile Eller only lasted one shift. Eller appeared to get hurt on a big hit from Tyler Bertuzzi.
Barry Trotz said Eller is doubtful for Sunday’s game against Columbus. Eller did participate in a family skate however after the team’s practice.
Not sure what's wrong w/ Eller, but he's skating on the rink right now w/ his young daughter and guiding her w/ two arms. Good sign, right?

Trotz said a Hershey call-up would definitely happen after their game tonight but did not say who.
Trotz said the #Capitals will recall a forward from Hershey prior to the #Bears' game against Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. Wouldn't say whom.

The best news out of this nightmare scenario is that Andre Burakovsky appears to be okay and will likely play tomorrow.
Burakovsky (upper body) appeared to practice fully. Trotz says it looks like he's trending toward playing tomorrow vs. CBJ.
