Caps’ epic new opening video set to a cover of Phil Collins’ ‘In The Air Tonight’

During every home game, the Washington Capitals play a pump-up video before the players come out on the ice. Saturday afternoon, the Caps released the latest iteration of their opening video and its set to a cover of Phil Collins’ In The Air Tonight.

It’s pretty epic.

The video features highlights such as Dmitry Orlov’s monster hip check, Alex Ovechkin scoring, and hockey violence from Tom Wilson. The song is spliced with Joe Beninati goal calls.

Performed by Joseph William Morgan and featuring Shadow Royale, the song was first released in 2015.
