Alex Ovechkin is on the board again, the Caps have scored another goal from about two feet from the goal line.

It all began with a great keep by Caps defenseman Dmitry Orlov. Orlov then dished to Nicklas Backstrom who found John Carlson for a big one-timer. Jets goaltender Michael Hutchinson made the initial save.
But Alex Ovechkin pounced on the rebound like he’s wont to do and slipped a backhand shot into the back of the net. In the right spot, at the right time. Ovechkin roared with another classic celebration.
That’s Ovechkin’s 5th goal of the season, which puts him 2nd on the team behind Marcus “Sidney Crosby” Johansson’s 6. It’s also his 44th goal against the Thrashers/Jets franchise, the most Ovechkin has scored against a single team in the NHL over his career.
