Saturday night, Karl Alzner scored his first goal since March 5th of last season. It was the most Karl Alzner goal to ever Karl Alzner.
With goaltender Jacob Markstrom pulled, Alzner ripped a Canucks’ dump-in off the glass and down the ice. Six seconds later, it crossed the goal line and went in.
Please watch Alzner. He begins to make a shift change and almost gets on the bench before the puck goes in.
Alzner’s shot was from approximately 180 feet away. Check out that red G at the top left of ESPN’s GameCast. That’s Alzner’s goal, which was scored from behind Philipp Grubauer’s net.
John Carlson and Nate Schmidt were amused as they high-fived Alzner on the bench.
Way to go, Karl.
