New development from the home opener festivities in Northwest DC: The Caps have a Snapchat filter.
This news raises an interesting question: what even is a Snapchat filter? Listen up, olds.
Thanks to @WesJohnsonVoice and the @capsredrockers for showing off our new @Snapchat filter for Verizon Center! Find it tonight! #RockTheRed pic.twitter.com/lOPtoortRo

If you’re in or near Verizon Center today, you can take a photo using Snapchat and apply the filter (by swiping left). The “rock the red” graphic will overlay your photo.
I tried, and I can’t do it. Maybe that’s because I’m in Rockville, or perhaps because my phone thinks I’m too old for this.
Here’s Oshie (in a great jacket) signing what I think is a Beagle jersey?
And here’s Kuznetsov in plum signing a fella’s shoulder.

Can you use the filter?
If you’ve got more pics, or if you can explain this concept to me better, do it in comments.
