Person of culture, Alex Ovechkin, goes to the ballet

Saturday, Alex Ovechkin was extraordinarily busy. After attending a noonish practice at Kettler Capitals Iceplex, the Russian machine filmed a commercial in Arlington for Papa John’s. Then, according to a source that looks an awful like Ovechkin, it was off to the ballet.

“Family going to the ballet,” wrote Ovechkin’s wife Nastya on Instagram.

Later, Ovechkin posted a photo himself.

“BRAVO!” Ovechkin wrote in all caps. “Proud of our ballet. We enjoyed it very much! Thank you! #bolshoiballet”

The lovely couple was at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts for the VTB Bolshoi Ballet Gala led by talented ballerina Svetlana Zakharova.
