Tom Wilson has achieved many things in his career, but he just received the most adorable honor yet.
A seven-year-old Caps fan wrote her autobiography, and the Caps–especially Wilson–got a lot of love. Wilson didn’t just earn a casual mention in the book–he made the first page. Specifically, he was featured in the third sentence. The young author also gave a shout-out to Nicklas Backstrom, naming Backy as Wilson’s best friend.
The author’s mom tweeted a picture of the story at Wilson, who retweeted it to his followers. (There’s artwork included, too!)
@tom_wilso this is a page from my 7 year old’s book about herself. You made the 1st page! pic.twitter.com/lzW9GvUPoY

The response was predictable:
@rockinredinva @tom_wilso Smart girl, excellent parenting!

@rockinredinva @tom_wilso This is amazing.

The story reveals that in addition to liking Wilson, the author’s favorite sport is hockey and her favorite team is the Capitals. She also has an autographed puck, courtesy of her mom. And if she gets a Wilson-autographed puck, who knows? A sequel could be in the works.
