John Carlson scores on Braden Holtby and it feels so wrong

Braden Holtby got the start tonight in the second of Canada’s back-to-back series with the United States. He got a rude welcome from Caps teammate John Carlson, who had the audacity to score on him.

It looks, feels, and is so wrong.

Carly’s goal came on a United States’ five-on-three powerplay. After Canada’s penalty killers sagged, Carlson blasted a one-timer by the Holtbeast to make the game 3-2.

I’m sure they’ll have a good laugh about this after the game.
