Jay Beagle Gets Kris Letang’s Stick Stuck in His Visor, Becomes Hockey Unicorn

NHL stars famously swap sticks with each other. This is not what they meant.

Late in the second period, Kris Letang’s stick got jammed in Jay Beagle’s visor. It did not want to come out.

He looked like a pretty hockey unicorn. Or a pretty hockey narwhal!

Beagle skated to the bench for help. Improvisational helmet surgery followed.

Finally, Letang’s stick was returned and reason returned to the game. The refs did not call high-sticking, which would’ve been a safe call if you ask me.
