Big Game Brouwer strikes again.
Monday night in St. Louis, the Blues eliminated the defending champion Chicago Blackhawks in Game Seven. The Blues will move on to the second round because of their summer trade acquisition from the Washington Capitals, Troy Brouwer.
Brouwer scored with 11:29 remaining in the third period.

The play started with good work from Robby Fabbri in the neutral zone as he pried the puck loose and dumps it into the Blackhawks zone. Paul Stastny collected the puck and then found Fabbri at the left circle. Fabbri passed to Brouwer near the crease and the rest is history. It took three whacks at the puck, but Brouwer finally sent the puck home.

Look at this reaction.
Here's Troy Brouwer's reaction after he scored. Priceless. pic.twitter.com/wvN27BGAVu

“That was almost really embarrassing,” Brouwer said after the game. “If I would’ve missed that one, I might’ve quit hockey.”
This is the second time Brouwer has victimized Corey Crawford on a big goal. The Brouwer Pouwer leader also tallied the game-winning goal in the 2015 Winter Classic, ripping a shot past Crawford with 12 seconds left in regulation.
This was Brouwer’s first postseason goal since May of 2013, ending a 24-game goalless streak. This was his first point in a Game Seven.

Brouwer is the only player on the Blues who has won the Stanley Cup. He did so with Chicago in 2010.
