During the first TV stoppage in play, the Capitals, like they’ve done all season, played a tribute video for Troy Brouwer, honoring his four seasons in Washington. Brouwer scored 83 goals, but none was bigger than his Winter Classic game-winning goal in 2015.
The Verizon Center crowd gave Brouwer a standing ovation. The Brouwer Pouwer leader smiled before standing up on the bench and waving to his adoring fans.

We’ll always root for you, Troy (except when you’re playing us).
