Hello from RMNB, where we’re all having nervous breakdowns at the same time.
Tonight the Caps wrap up their west coast jaunt in San Jose, where they’re expected to get stomped as per tradition. But the Capitals have been defying expectations of late. Their record in one-goal games is still astonishing, and they’ve clutched victory– or at least a standings point– in both their Californian games this week.
Caps at Shark at 10:30 PM on CSN Plus. After this there’s only one more late game, and it’s not until April, we promise.

| San Jose Sharks | 37-24-6 | 51.4% | 100.1 | 21.9% (7th) | 79.6% (22nd) |

Best Thing on the Internet Today
Nothing. The internet is terrible. Let’s all promise each other that we’ll all unplug for a bit today and go for a walk or something.
Storylines
- This isn’t a storyline, but please don’t make plans for Saturday, April 9.
- The Caps will face backup goalie Martin Jones.
- Dennis Wideman’s suspension got reduced by 10 games, but really just one game. Nobody comes out of this looking good.
- You do not adequately appreciate Nate Schmidt.
- Alan May speaks of slow starts.
- Sports stars basically batting 1.000 at dodging criminal charges in last 25 years.
- I’ll just say it: the 2009 Caps were better than the 2010 and 2016 Caps. Feds forever.
- The Caps were very very very lucky earlier this season. Now they’re not.
