Tom Wilson joined the Minnesota Wild tonight in the second period when he was checked into their bench.
It was a good laugh, and sure to be seen on future YouTube compilations of hockey fails for years to come.
Willy laid on the bench for about ten seconds before anyone on the Wild even considered helping him up. Defenseman Christian Folin finally grabbed Tom by the jersey and pulled him up as a referee skated over in assistance as well.
There was no whistle, so Tom had no time to chirp the bench before heading back out on to the ice.
Tom later got an assist on Jason Chimera’s empty-net goal.
