Over the last two days, the DC Blizzard dropped two feet of snow in the district and three feet in surrounding areas. The snow forced the cancellation of both Caps’ home games this weekend including tilts against the Ducks and Penguins. That leaves the Caps in a really weird stretch, where they’ll only play one game in 14 days.
Without hockey, the players spent time with their families and messing around on social media. I went ahead and documented it all.
Wish me luck!пожелайте мне удачи🙈💪😂

The Caps captain received a lot of national attention after randomly being asked to do a local TV interview at a gas station Friday. He was not impressed with this snow storm.
Taking a jaunt outside with his girlfriend, the Capitals defenseman posed for a photo with the caption, “As much snow as we get in my hometown Novokuznetsk.”

The Caps’ first-line center played in the snow with his daughter Haley and did interviews with Swedish reporters. Via a translation by Malin of Hockey Ramblings:
You live in a house in Arlington. Do you have a snowblower or will you have to make do with a snow shovel?
“That’s correct. I will do it the old fashioned way and use a snow shovel. Everything to keep my wrists in peak condition.”
This guy.
Wilson appears to have watched a backyard hockey game between kids – one of the tikes being Jason Chimera’s son, Cale.
