TJ Oshie doesn’t just score in the shootout. He embarrasses whatever goalie is net for the opposing team. And tonight, in the words of CSN Washington’s Joe Beninati, Oshie “put [Anton] Forsberg in the parking lot” after a hard deke to the left.
That’s nasty.
Really, really nasty.
Oshie is now a career 33 for 62 in the shootout.
Now sure the Washington Capitals still lost to the worst team in the league during said shootout, but this is still the Caps’ best 38 game stretch in franchise history – and we have a dude who can make moves like this. Plus Braden Holtby’s trachea still works.
I’m happy.
