Big bopper Dmitry Orlov just lit up a Sabre at the blue line in his first shift. It was like two beefy cows running into each other with skates on.
I love the simplicity of Orlov’s game here. In his head, I’m sure he’s saying to himself, “Hmm, I could let him skate in and take a pedestrian shot on Braden from the perimeter or I could just light him up right now.” He chose the latter. I appreciate the latter.
22-year-old defenseman Jake McCabe learned a valuable lesson: keep your head up while dekeing.
Eight minutes later, Orly showed how strong he is on his skates. Geez.
2nd among all NHL D in P/60, 5th in shot attempts against/60, oh, and he can hit too. https://t.co/9smrnIuIjJ
