Alex Ovechkin just scored his 15th goal of the season and his 490th of his career. It was one of the easiest goals of his career thanks to TJ Oshie.
As Oshie carried the puck into the zone, he dished to Nicklas Backstrom. The Super Swede then passed to Carlson who hit Ovechkin for a one-timer. Oshie fished the rebound out on his backhand. Instead of going for a poor angle shot, Oshie allowed Lightning goaltender Ben Bishop to scramble back towards the yawning net before hitting Ovechkin with a sensational backhanded pass.
Wow.
The Russian machine then took care of the rest.
3-1 Lightning.
