The Redskins and Capitals Are Both In First Place

I just thought I should point this out: Hell has actually frozen over.

Last night, the Washington Capitals moved into first place in the Eastern Conference (and continued to pace the Metropolitan Division) with their 4-1 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins. Meanwhile the Washington Redskins, a perennial embarrassment, are somehow leading the (terrible) NFC East despite a losing record.

Things are looking up, DC sports fans. What a world.

(And, yes, of course that pass was gutsy.)
