Circa 2011.
The Capitals’ regulation loss to the Florida Panthers was their first since November 19. It was also probably their worst game of the season, or so I was told. I’ve heard that no shame is worse than shame from one’s father, so the Caps must redeem themselves tonight with a win over the Tampa Bay Lightning, or else seppuku is the only option.
Puck drops at 7 PM. Until then, have a lovely December Saturday afternoon. Maybe go tanning by the pool or play frisbee.

This puppy is experiencing more joy in this moment than I will in my entire life.
It won’t be this majestic.

- Any article about Nate Schmidt automatically makes it into storylines. Bonus that it’s a good one.
- The Penguins fired Mike Johnston. About damn time. Remaining Q for me is will they let Rutherford handle the deadline and the draft?
- On Tom Wilson and his bad reputation.
- On the quantifiable diminishment of fun on the Capitals in the last few weeks.
