The Capitals arrived in Montreal last night ahead of their game tonight against the Canadians. So what did the Caps Russians do? I’m glad you asked.
Alex Ovechkin, Evgeny Kuznetsov, Dmitry Orlov, and Stan Galiev had dinner with former Capital/forever-Habs-scratch Alex Semin. We know this because Ristorante Bis owner Marcello Abate published a photo of the group together on Twitter.
That’s not all. During the Capitals recent trip to Toronto last week, Ovechkin and his fiancee Nastya Shubaskaya dined with former Capitals coach Adam Oates.

Oates, now working for Sportsnet as an analyst, was dressed casual in a peacoat and fleece. Ovechkin donned a custom jacket with the #8 and his initials AO on it– just in case he forgot who he was.
During a recent intermission feature on HNIC, Oates spoke about Ovechkin and Crosby. He had this to say.
Adam Oates calls Sidney Crosby "the best player in the world."
