As Chris wrote earlier today, Alex Ovechkin appears to be getting back on track on the power play with power-play goals in two straight games. Saturday, the Russian machine conjured some black magic to get a power-play assist.
You have to see this.
So let’s recap this goal. Carlson hits Ovechkin with a pass and The Great Eight fires at Jonathan Bernier. Roman Polak deflects the puck, but it ricochets off Marcus Johnasson’s knee right into the back of the net.
Just like how Barry drew it up on the bench!
