During the second period of the Caps/Red Wings game, Joe Beninati dropped a fun bit of news: Mike Green is going to be a papa.
Per CSN Washington’s telecast:
Joe Beninati: Green settling into a new home in the Birmingham, Michigan area. He and Courtney expecting their first child.
Craig Laughlin: He was all smiles when he told us that news this morning.
Mike and Courtney got married in Calgary on August 9, 2014. It was a beautiful ceremony held in Green’s hometown.
Green will become the third former Caps young gun to have a child. Nicklas Backstrom’s significant other Liza gave birth to their cutiepie daughter Haley on October 8, 2013. Alex Semin, married in the summer of 2014, has a son, Alexander, who was born in August. Meanwhile, Alex Ovechkin is engaged to Nastya Shubskaya and is expected to be married this summer.
Boy are we old.
