Former Capitals defenseman Mike Green returned to Detroit’s line-up on Sunday afternoon after missing six games with a shoulder injury. Green was featured all over NHL social media after he handed a puck to a tiny Red Wings fan during warm-ups.
Look at that adorable reaction!
It’s the second time this week a fan has lost their mind getting a puck from a star player.
Meanwhile, in regards to the actual hockey game, Green assisted on Gustav Nyquist’s goal, which gave him his 250th career assist.
Green will suit up Tuesday when the Caps visit Detroit. That’s going to be so weird.
