So graceful.
Alex Ovechkin has scored his 7th goal of the season, a splendid slapper from a kneeling position.
The Capitals were lined up in the offensive zone, with Ovechkin in the slot and Oshie down low. Evgeny Kuznetsov wrangled the puck a bit higher and loosed it towards Tuukka Rask. The rebound bobbled out to Ovechkin, who took a little crosscheck from Colin Miller. Ovechkin tumbled to his knees but never took his eyes off the ball, or whatever.
That’s Ovechkin outmuscling Zdeno Chara in the crease.
The 30-year-old Russian machine now has seven goals this season and 482 in his career. He also has 909 career points, which is staggering if you think about it.
John Carlson also recorded a secondary assist on the play, which was his 200th career point. Carly has points in 7 of 12 games this season.
Evgeny Kuznetsov congratulated Ovechkin on the bench by playfully elbowing him in the head.
‘Atta boy, Ovi.
