When TJ Oshie took the ice for the Caps’ final preseason game against the New York Islanders, he sported a shiner under his left eye and a cut on the bridge of his nose. His battle wounds were courtesy of Adam McQuaid’s fists on Friday night. McQuaid is the veteran of 43 NHL fights.
“That’s probably one of bad things about not being well educated on players in the East, you don’t exactly know who fights, who’s heavy, who’s not,” Oshie said at the time.
“[I’m] not gonna back down,” he said. “Part of the game and it’s kinda fun.”
Well I am digging TJ’s new look.
