Last year the Washington Capitals installed a display at Verizon Center honoring all the hat tricks scored at their home barn since 2008. It was a fantastic idea, especially featuring fans’ hats that had actually been thrown on the ice in celebration. The Caps expanded on that this offseason.

On the Gallery Place side of the arena, the team installed another display honoring the Caps’ two Winter Classic victories. It features summaries of the games on the left along with some game-used gear to the right. From what I can tell there’s a Tom Wilson jersey from the 2015 Classic, a Brooks Laich sweater from the 2011 edition of the game, Nicklas Backstrom’s gloves, and an Alex Ovechkin stick and skates.

Make sure to stop by and check it out.
