Friday afternoon, Washington Capitals captain Alex Ovechkin and girlfriend Nastya Shubskaya announced their engagement on Instagram. The couple first started dating in early 2015.

Ovechkin wrote in Russian, “She said yes ..))) ❤️❤️❤️.”
Shubskaya wrote “Да” which means Yes.
