Caps Fan in Brooks Laich Shirsey Proposes to Girlfriend at Julianne Hough’s Move Live Tour

On July 3rd, Julianne Hough’s Move Live Tour made its way to Wolf Trap, and there was a special Caps-related surprise during the show. I’ll let RMNB reader Topher Gee explain.

In the middle of the show there was an interactive session, three guys get up as “volunteers” to dance off. One is wearing a Caps shirt so of course he was already a fan favorite in the house. They dance with the Pro dancers and of course “Chris the Caps fan” does awesome. He shows off that the Caps t-shirt is actually a Brooks Laich tee & Jules admits that she is dating Brooks.

The crowd roared in applause for Chris and he ended up winning. Jules (we are on a first name basis by the way) asked if he had any requests since he won. Chris, in fact, did.

Chris asked for his girlfriend to join him on stage. He announced that she was the real dancer in the family, but then stopped and said “well you’re not in the family just yet.” It was at that point he reached into his coat pocket in the corner of the stage and proposed! She said yes in front of a sold out crowd at Wolf Trap. I tell you what, I love this CAPS family and by the way Jules is awesome too for helping out!!

(Sorry for the blurry video and my yelling in the video!)

No need to apologize, Topher. Here’s the full video from the bride-to-be.

Laich was pumped when he found out about it on Twitter later that night.
