Summer just started but winter is coming, specifically on October 10th, when the Washington Capitals’ 2015-16 season kicks off with an opener against the New Jersey Devils and a four-game homestand. And my instant reaction:
- 41 home games and 41 road games. Bold decision.
- The Caps beat the Hawks last season. The Hawks won the Cup. Both teams come to DC on October 15.
- Two days later, on a Saturday, the Caps play the team that Alex Semin is currently on. Who knows if he’ll still be on that team by October 17.
- Gotta love that western Canada trip in mid-October.
- March 18 is Forsberg day. Ian will be insufferable.
- Flyers at Caps on Superb Owl Sunday.
- The California trip is at the beginning of March. You will be tired at work the days after games.
- Not an easy final week to the season with the Isles, Pens, and Blues down the stretch.
