The Capitals take a 1-nothing lead into the intermission thanks to Alex Ovechkin’s latest mindblowing goal.
In a late-period power play (Jay Beagle was held by Dom Moore), Alex Ovechkin gained the zone. As soon as he hit the face-off circle, Ovi loosed an uncanny dart.
You need a replay to see that it hit the back of the net.
Afterwards, a hot mic revealed Ovi taunting Henrik Lundqvist as he skated around the net. “All series, baby,” Ovechkin says. “All series.”
This all came just minutes after Madison Square Garden chanted, “Ovi sucks.”
With that goal, Ovi has scored in every game he’s played against New York this season.
