The Capitals have played their absolute best hockey in game seven. Dominating the Islanders in the second period, the Caps finally cracked the Caps killer, Jaroslav Halak.
Brooks Orpik put a shot– get this– ON goal. Jaroslav Halak stopped it, but didn’t control it. Joel Ward, the big cheese, stuffed the puck through the undercarriage.
Alex Ovechkin celebrated the goal like it was own again, but with one new twist: HE NEARLY JUMPED THE ENTIRE LENGTH OF THE ICE.
Woah.
What a celebration!
It’s 1-0 Capitals with twenty minutes left in #rego.
