After a huge penalty kill, Brooks Laich was CSN Washington’s guest for the second intermission interview. Something about Laich just looked a bit off. Did he get a new haircut? Is his beard beardier than usual? I just couldn’t put my finger on it.
Then Dave Nichols of the District Sports Page pointed it out.
Brooks get a tooth busted? That'll look good on the red carpet.

Laich chipped his tooth!
After the game, Laich confirmed the news via a ridiculous Instagram photo.

In his caption he wrote, “Cracked tooth tonite = my best Lloyd Christmas imitation…. #HeyHarry”
Marcus Johansson made fun of him as well.
Ran into Lloyd after the game! He was really excited about the Win!!@brookslaich

I fired up the Google machine and learned was that this wasn’t the first time Laich has dented his grill.
Here’s Prewitt with the story from March 21:
Following practice Friday, during individual work, forward Brooks Laich took a wayward stick to the mouth and chipped a tooth. It produced more humor than anything, since Laich insisted Green had struck him, while Green claimed it was Laich’s own doing. Laich plans to get the tooth filled in Monday once the Capitals return home.
