In things-I-didn’t-think-I’d-be-writing-about-after-midnight, two-time Peabody award-winner Larry King decided tonight was the night he should go public about who his favorite NHL player is. That player happens to be a certain Russian Machine.
Alex Ovechkin is my favorite hockey player…#ItsMy2Cents

In the 80’s, King worked as part of Home Team Sports’s broadcast team of the Caps and Orioles. He was even featured on a 1990’s hockey card and was called the Capitals Celebrity Captain. So I’m guessing he’s being a little sentimental here.
Regardless, Ovechkin actually replied on Twitter and was very excited.
Wow!!!!!!! tnx man it’s gr8!!!! @kingsthings #LarryKing pic.twitter.com/oRJvfgbknv
