Last week, the Caps and Penguins played one of the most tense games of the season. It included a first-period brawl that spilled onto the Pens bench. For whatever reason, NBCSN showed us just one or two angles of the dust-up and then moved on. On Reddit, user beardyman22 shared a story that didn’t make it to air that night.
So according to my brother, during the brawl on the bench tonight, he looked down to see Holtby and Fleury calmly passing the puck back and forth to eachother waiting for the game to start again. I don’t know about you guys, but I love this.
This story since been corroborated by multiple season-ticket holders who were at the game. I searched YouTube and Instagram to see if I could find anything. I didn’t, but I did find this amazing video from @sperks09.
Latta is just getting wrecked by Steve Downie as he’s trying to fish out his roommate, Tom Wilson, on the Pens bench. These guys are fearless.
