Sometimes you gotta be lucky to be good. The Washington Capitals were definitely one of the two in San Jose last night.
There’s no better example of Washington’s fortune than Jay Beagle‘s second (second!) goal of the game, with a tangential assist by lineman Lonnie Cameron, who is our favorite NHL official as of right now.
Beagle comes into the zone, flanked by a Shark defenseman. But then Lonnie, arms spread to indicate a legal entry, blocks the path of Mirco Mueller. Mueller’s tied up just long enough for Beagle to score a layup on his backhand.
Haha.
Look how Mueller immediately looks back at the linesman. Haha.
Even Beagle’s laughing.
Haha.
Thanks, Lonnie. Haha.
