After 42 years out in California, The Tonight Show returned to New York City on Monday. New host Jimmy Fallon didn’t wait long to make a joke about Alex Ovechkin. In his fourth Tonight Show on Thursday, Fallon introduced a segment called Olympic Thoughts and had some fun with a recently taken Ovi photo.
“Now you guys might not realize this, but I’m basically a mind-reader,” Fallon begins. “I don’t like to brag about it, but I can tell what somebody’s thinking just by looking at them – especially when it comes to Olympic athletes.”
“Like for example, take a look at this photo. Here we have an interesting moment from the Russia-Norway hockey game.”
“And I can tell just by looking at the goalie that he’s thinking…”
“The other player is thinking…”
“He’s flying holding a… [acts like he’s holding a hockey stick].”
