Friday night, Alex Ovechkin became the sixth faster player to reach 400 goals in NHL history when he scored on an empty net in Raleigh. Though Ovi was nonchalant after the milestone, Saturday was his day in the spotlight. The Great Eight received a lengthy standing ovation from the Verizon Center crowd early in the Devils game as the jumbotron played a tribute video. RMNB readers also honored Ovi, holding up our 400 goals signs during warmups.
Below, take a look at some of my photos.
Readers Melissa B. and Emily W. pose with their signs.
