In the second period, Mikhail Grabovski made one hell of an individual play. He blocked a Ryan Johansen shot from the point, springing himself on a breakaway.
Unfortunately for Grabo, he was unable to lift his backhanded attempt over Sergei Bobrovski’s left pad. He may not have scored a goal, but his post-shot wipe-out was almost as exhilarating.
Grabovski crashes into the reigning Vezina trophy winner before destroying the goal cam with his own head in the process. Ouch.
For the record, this is the second time this year the Caps have made the goal cam go dark. In the preseason, Alex Ovechkin took one out (again) on a goal.
