After attending an adorablicious Knowledge Day celebration in Russia earlier this week, Washington Capitals captain Alex Ovechkin resurfaced on our continent for the NHL’s media day. Ovechkin did photoshoots, chatted with reporters about how he’s totes staying in the NHL, and shot some commercials for big media outlets.
During one of the commercial shoots, Ovi had what one can describe only as An Ovi Moment.
TSN had the reigning Hart winner taking slap shots at the net. Seemed pretty harmless until Ovi treated the lighting rig like Led Zeppelin treated the Hollywood Hyatt.
On one attempt, the Russian machine misfired and demolished a TSN bulb. Light’s out. Guerrilla radio.
It’s all fun and games until you’re 6-to-12 feet above and to the left of Marc-Andre Fleury.
Below, I’ve collected some more media from the day. And yay, Ovi’s home now!
