Alex Ovechkin is very good at hockey. He’s been that way for a while. But recently, some people have started to doubt him. Ovi, in turn, has rectified that with 13 goals in 11 games.
Three of those markers came tonight in the Washington Capitals’ 4-3 win over the Florida Panthers. Ovechkin was a monster on the ice all game, factoring in on all Caps tallies. The trio of goals also came on just four shots. This was Ovechkin’s second hat trick of the season and the 12th of his career. Remarkably, for a guy who started the season so slowly, Ovi is now tied with John Tavares for the NHL’s number two spot in goals scored with 23. With 14 goals on the man-advantage, he also far and away leads the league in power play markers.
Let’s relive the scoars from tonight.
The only thing we’re missing is hats.
