During the Washington Wizards early season 1-13 swoon, Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III randomly showed up to a game. The Wiz responded by pulling off a miracle upset, defeating the defending champion Miami Heat for their second win of the season. On Saturday night, the Washington Capitals entered their match-up with the Florida Panthers with a league-worst record of 2-8-1.
Then some Capitals fans sacrificed a rubber cow and goat at practice and Washington Nationals third basemen Ryan Zimmerman showed up to the game. That good juju pushed the Capitals to play their best game of the season. Zimmer, who needs spring training? Please come to every game for the rest of the season. We need you.
