Golden Knights sound off on ‘one of the most incredible talents of all time’ after Alex Ovechkin scores his 50th goal of the season

Alex Ovechkin scored his 50th goal of the season against the Vegas Golden Knights on Wednesday. In doing so, he tied Wayne Gretzky and Mike Bossy for the most 50-goal seasons in a career with nine.

A feat that special and a player this special garners respect that crosses locker rooms. That was on display as the Golden Knights met with the media after their 4-3 overtime victory over the Capitals.

Vegas Golden Knights sign William Karlsson to eight-year, $47.2 million contract extension

Wild Bill is staying Sin City until his mid-30s.

Late Monday night, the Vegas Golden Knights announced that they signed William Karlsson to an eight-year contract extension worth an average annual salary of $5.9 million. The 26-year-old forward is two seasons removed from scoring a career-high 43 goals after being selected by George McPhee in the expansion draft from the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Karlsson followed up his high-water mark with 24 goals in 2018-19.

On the same night the Vegas Golden Knight retired the number 58 in honor of the October 1 mass shooting victims, William Karlsson scored a sensational goal that will be on highlight reels everywhere.
