Alex Ovechkin Bought Powerball Tickets

Before Alex Ovechkin hit the the jackpot on the ice Sunday, he traveled to a McLean, Virginia, 7-11 to hit the jackpot off of it. Via RMNB reader @spooner_amanda, WUSA9 reported that Ovechkin bought Powerball tickets on Saturday to try and win its $800 million prize.
Ovi didn’t win, but if he enters again, he will try for an estimated $1.4 billion jackpot Wednesday. It’s the largest prize in US lottery history. The odds of winning are 1 in 292.2 million.
