An interview with AHL linesman Tommy George
Tommy George is an AHL official that has local roots. Tommy played club hockey at Urbana High School in Frederick County and eventually donned the stripes in the Olympic games. He’s also done IIHF events like the World Championship. You’ve likely seen him in Hershey as a linesman during Bears games.
So naturally, I had to ask him all the important questions like What are the mean things hockey players say to each other on the ice? and What’s it like to break up a hockey fight?
Tommy also chatted about the Old Fat Bald Guys hockey tournament happening at SkateFrederick this weekend, which is for a very, very good cause.
