Former Capital Peter Bondra will once again be joining the team responsible for making hockey happen in DC. Bondra, known for his sharpshooting skills and high production, will serve as the Caps’ new Director of Alumni Affairs and Business Development.
Bondra’s name is still a beloved one in DC. The 49-year-old Slovak played for the Caps from 1990-2004, and holds the record for second most goals (472) and points (825) in Capitals franchise history.
In his new role, Bondra will work as the managing director of the Capitals Alumni Association, focusing on alumni, revenue, and community development.
“I am excited to join the Capitals in an official capacity,” said Bondra. “Washington has always been my home and I look forward to helping this organization in any way I can.”
