Kevin Durant attends Washington Commanders training camp, chats with team president Jason Wright

The Washington Commanders have good vibes around them for the first time in what seems like forever after the NFL officially approved the sale of the team to a Josh Harris-led group a little over a week ago.

Those positive vibes have continued into training camp. The practices have been selling out despite the recent heat wave as fan reengagement increases and one big-time fan in particular was in attendance on Friday.

PG County native and future NBA Hall of Famer, Kevin Durant was on the sidelines at OrthoVirginia Training Center at Commanders Park.

The MLS’s problems since entering the bubble show how difficult restarting could be for other sports

DC United was supposed to play its first game of the MLS playoffs Sunday morning. Twenty minutes before the start time, the match was put on hold due to a positive COVID-19 test and one inconclusive; one on each team. Five minutes later, the match was called off.

This isn’t an outlier experience. Since entering the bubble, nine MLS games were scheduled to occur. Of those nine, only three have happened on time.

NHL, MLB, NBA, and MLS officially announce closing of locker rooms to media due to coronavirus concerns

The NHL just made official what Elliotte Friedman reported two days ago.

The NHL will close locker rooms to the media in an effort to limit players’ exposure, as much as possible, to the coronavirus. The sports leagues say that access will continue, but in “designated locations outside of the locker room and clubhouse setting.”
